Workshop Overview:
The workshop has been designed specifically for leaders of global or multi-located teams. The overall aim of the workshop is to show how managers can preserve all that is good in traditional 'static' teams while realising the potential of remote teams.
Participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences, learn more about how to manage and organise remotely, and create team working synergies, across the boundaries of distance, time and culture.
Workshop Aim:
To identify the knowledge and develop the skills necessary to effectively manage a remote team/individual.
Workshop Objectives:
At the end of the workshop participants will be better able to:
- Preserve all that is good about traditional teams and realise the potential of remote teams.
- Appreciate the cultural dimensions and determinants which may be inherent in working across borders and which can effect task achievement and processes.
- Understand the 4 stages of remote Relationship growth and how to meet the needs of the team at each stage.
- Communicate effectively at a distance, across boundaries and time zones. Eg using smart technology.
- Run conference calls for 'virtual' team meetings that are organised, participatory and controlled.
- Motivate their remote team by understanding individual needs and doing the 'little things' that really count.
