The BSTMS philosophy is centred around the idea that learning and improvement is for everyone at all levels and must be based on self-confidence and practised in a relaxed and comfortable environment:
  • We build on strengths and opportunities for improvement.
  • Theories are necessary but only if practical and actionable.
  • Participants need to be stretched.
  • We challenge existing attitudes and encourage change.
  • Participants learn best from structured activities that are results orientated, provided they are helped to review and critique honestly.
  • The greatest enemy of learning is fear, therefore learning needs to be enjoyable as well as useful to be retained and applied.
